Daniel Ravitz

President

Dan Ravitz brings over three decades of leadership and industry expertise to UPI Global Ingredients. A graduate of Union College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dan entered the family business in 1988, applying his strategic and technical expertise to operations, sales, and global sourcing.

A key architect of UPI’s growth and transformation, Dan played an instrumental role in the company’s major relocations—from Brooklyn to Edison, NJ, in 1997 and then to Somerset, NJ, in 2006. Most notably, six years ago, he led the design, procurement, and transition to UPI’s state-of-the-art distribution center and headquarters in Mebane, NC. This move marked a significant upgrade from the Somerset facility, providing expanded space, enhanced automation, and greater capacity for future growth. The Mebane facility also introduced advanced bulk packaging capabilities and a cutting-edge tank farm, further strengthening UPI’s ability to serve customers with precision and efficiency.

Dan’s leadership is driven by a commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that UPI delivers on its promise: “Quality, in spec, and on time!”

Michael Ravitz

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Michael Ravitz brings a wealth of experience, strategic vision, and customer-first leadership to UPI Global Ingredients. A graduate of Boston University, Michael began his career in Washington, D.C., serving as a legislative assistant for U.S. Representative Harold Ford. During his three years on Capitol Hill, he honed exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills—insights that have been invaluable in shaping his approach to sales and marketing.

Since joining UPI in 1987, Michael has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth, forging lasting relationships with customers, and championing a boutique, customer-centric approach that sets UPI apart. His deep industry knowledge, combined with his ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, has helped UPI build a reputation for excellence in service and reliability.

As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Michael remains dedicated to fostering strong partnerships and ensuring that every customer interaction reflects UPI’s commitment to quality, expertise, and personalized service.

Chris Huezo

General Manager

Chris Huezo is a dynamic leader whose dedication and expertise have been pivotal in the growth and success of UPI Global Ingredients. Since joining the company nine years ago, Chris has played a crucial role in every facet of UPI’s operations, from sales and logistics to facility management and strategic expansion.

As General Manager, Chris was instrumental in the design, setup, and successful launch of UPI’s state-of-the-art Mebane, NC facility, ensuring it became a hub of efficiency, innovation, and growth. His hands-on leadership has strengthened UPI’s operational excellence, enhanced customer service, and positioned the company for continued success in the global ingredients market.

Beyond his professional achievements, Chris recently celebrated a personal milestone—welcoming his first baby daughter into the world. His dedication, both at work and at home, reflects his commitment to building strong foundations, whether in business or family.

With a passion for problem-solving and a relentless drive to push UPI forward, Chris remains focused on delivering the best for UPI’s customers, team, and future.
